Bodie the Ghost Town of the high desert is in a state of arrested decay. The items from the Gold Rush Boom Town are now left as is for all to discover. In 1859 William Bodey discovered gold, a mill was built in 1861 and the town grew fast form its humble 20 miners to an estimated 10,000 people by 1880. Bodie California.
