Description
Birch bark or birchbark is the bark from the North American birch trees.
The strong and water-resistant cardboard-like bark can be easily cut, bent, and sewn, which has made it a valuable building material for making a canoe since pre-historic times.
Many of the early american people made canoes for traveling the Great Lakes of Michigan out of Birch Bark.
